I just canceled my MxO subscription ... again. The game is actually getting better. Some Live Events are larger and have the feel of the old events, if you happen to be on when they occur. They just added a Corruptor quest line for high-level players, and the storyline seems to be back on track. That said, I just don't have time to play anymore. I didn't run any of the 7.2 critical missions. Any game time I do have is currently spent in WoW, which ain't the Matrix, but it is a good game. If you would like to play with some of the original members of The Company (AresV, Deamonica, Princesss, and others), check out the web site at http://www.wow-dynasty.com/. This is a good guild.
I'm going to keep tabs on MxO. If I have more time to play, I may renew my subscription for a month or two. In which case, I might join an active faction, but we'll see. Take it easy.
