Announcement: Extended Break
Posted: SuperJenius @ Tue Sep 12, 2006 5:12 pm
After nearly two years of gameplay, I just cancelled my subscription to The Matrix Online. Real life is the primary culprit. I have to get some stuff done at work by the end of the year, which means overtime. I also have to move into a new house soon. This doesn't leave much time for MxO.

To be honest, I think my interest in the game is waning anyway. I'm all about the story, but it just moves too slowly. I was really looking forward to the Archival Critical Missions, but I find that I'm not running them. I haven't even run any of the 5.3 critical missions yet. The white hallways are pretty much pointless, and certainly not worth i$100 mil. The next development is the Halloween event. As much as I enjoy dressing up as a Succubus, been there... done that. The mini live events look like fun, but I'm never there to participate. Besides, knowing who the man behind the curtain is (Rarebit) takes away some of the magic. Add this all up, and it's clear that it's time for an extended break.

I'll stay active on this forum and keep tabs on MxO developments. Once something draws my interest, I'll be back in game. I expect that to be around January (when I have more time to play), or for the next major live event. Hopefully, there will be enough new stuff by then to keep me playing for a while.

My subscription expires on October 1. I would like get together with everyone before I leave, maybe for a party or something. I think Andros' month runs out before mine does, so we should get together before then. When is a good time for everyone?
